Submission

We are inviting everybody to submit entries for the Trail Vision Awards photo and video contest! We can't wait to see the amazing content that our community creates to celebrate the amazing trails in Santa Cruz County. Don't forget that entries must feature legal trails only! Questions? Email trailvision@mbosc.org.

Rules

- There is no time requirement (i.e. photo taken in last year). Photos and videos can be from any year.
- Submissions must feature legal trails in Santa Cruz County ONLY.*
- No inappropriate language or content. Keep it PG.
- Submissions must not be used for commercial purposes.

*What counts as a legal trail? For mountain bikers: Wilder Ranch, Soquel Demonstration State Forest, DeLaveaga Park, Emma McCrary and U-Con, any pumptrack, dirt jumps, and bike paths. There are probably more, but you get the gist. If you don't know, please ask! Shoot Emma an email: emma@mbosc.org.

Judging Process

All content will be reviewed prior to the screening to make sure the rules (see below) are followed, and we'll show the best photos/videos at the Rio Theater screening on November 1st. We have an amazing and qualified team who will judge content submissions at the screening. Meet the jury here. Our prestigious jury will decide the Best Overall Bike Photo/Video and Best Overall Non-bike Photo/Video, and the People's Choice category will be voted on by our audience.

Categories

With categories focused on both bike and non-bike content, this contest is intended to celebrate all trail users.

Best Overall Bike Photo - Cash prizes 1st - 3rd place
Best Overall Bike Video - Cash prizes 1st - 3rd place
Best Overall Non-bike Photo - Cash prizes 1st - 3rd place
Best Overall Non-bike Video - Cash prizes 1st - 3rd place
People's Choice Award - Favorite Video - Sponsor prize package from Light and Motion

The "Bike" category is self-explanatory. We want to see your amazing bike content, and we know there is a lot of it out there. Since we also want to feature other trail users, the "Non-bike" category is meant for everybody else and can feature any other trail activity, including digging!
